What is a rock song? A three-minute snapshot telling an everyday story to a catchy tune. This definition fits BB Brunes' music like a glove. Four years ago the band emerged on the ever-so-hip French music scene and what do they produce from it, a Platinum Disc, a Victoire de la Musique award (Best New live act 2009) and 400,000 record sales. You can't help to ask yourself.. who are this band taking the French scene by storm and why haven't I heard of them? Or maybe you have. Their recent sync on a new Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore film entitled 'LOL' will throw the band into the ears of the ever-judging UK and USA music press and with it they bring a whopping 8 track EP. BB Brunes is made up of Adrien Gallo (Vocals), Felix Hemmen (Guitarist), Karim Reveille (Drummer), and Berald Crambes (Bassist). This 8-track EP is the band's English debut. Their sound is similar to Artic Monkeys if they were to make a 'Take That' style comeback 10 years down the line. Effervescent and feverish guitars, flickering tunes, and a mixture of candour and melancholia, their songs have a maturity which is key in making the EP so strong.
