2006 release, the fourth full-length album from Norwegian trio, The White Birch. Produced by Helge Sten of Deathprod and Supersilent fame, the band has drawn comparisons to Mark Hollis' solo recordings (Talk Talk's vocalist) with more atmosphere. Singer and multi-instrumentalist Ola Flottum occasionally sings falsetto, but always sings softly, enhancing the keen sense of intimacy that the band creates so beautifully, while leaving attention to the poetic (and English) lyrics optional for listen.
