Stan Kenton was one of the major innovators of Jazz music. Creating a modern concert sound from the then ballroom orientated music of the forties and fifties. This CD contains music by Stan Kenton s 1953 band which many claim was his finest line-up and features amongst other Kenton luminaries the great Maynard Ferguson on trumpet. Most of this material has not been issued before and will therefore be a valued collectors item.
