Martyr Lucifer (also singer of Hortus Animae and Space Mirrors) returned with quot;Shardsquot; an album that gathers 3 EPs that show three different sides of the artist s sound and soul.. Hold the shards in your hands but.. Be careful don t get hurt! quot;Shard Onequot; shows Martyr Lucifer s darkest and most mysterious side through three ominous tracks. quot;Shard Twoquot; is a gentle small little box that contains 4 acoustic tracks full of sadness and melancholy. quot;Shard Threequot; simultaneously offers 3 poisons and 3 antidotes through a vibrating dark rock that will shake your soul. The album has been produced by Outline Rekordz and is released in a very elegant digipack format. Featuring Simone Mularoni & Dario Ciccioni (empYrios) Antarktica (Darkend) and Adrian Erlandsson (Paradise Lost). Unmissable! --- This Shards collection is a very enjoyable listen that will keep Martyr Lucifer fans and gothic rock/ metal fans in general very happy with their progress (Brutalism) So I can recommend Martyr Lucifer s Shards to all those who prefer complexity depth and intensity in the Gothic and Dark Metal field soulful musical transformations with a successful balance of melody and complexity (Stormbringer) SHARDS is quite nice collection. I m looking forward to hearing the next full-length form this talented and sophisticated act (Metal-rules) Martyr Lucifer sets a very good album which is catchy melodic and versatile. Woth for dark rock fans definitely a recommendation! (Metalglory) Since the nineties Martyr Lucifer happens to be the moniker for a very active and inspired Italian musician [..] [..] All in all a very diverting album (Lords of Metal) The author creates his own precious style imaginative playful sometimes grotesquely humorous but the overall picture is serious and mature (Femforgacs) A nice well done and satisfying collection (Obskure Magazine France) The level is high [..] and indicates the Gothic facet with the excellent Oddities and The Morning Star. Fleeing from precepts of style Shards is able to please a diverse audience (Roadie Crew Magazine Brazil) Classic-modern Goth in various forms (Orkus! Magazine Germany) There are hits and melodic songs with very sensual ballads [..] Recommended to all fans of elegant gothic rock (Dark City Russia) Shards is yet another good work of this Italian musician if you love this genre I recommend that you do not miss this one. A confirmation (Metallized) In this diverse project that is built on foundations of gothic metal there is also space for metal stuffed with electronics as on A Lesson in Murderquot; and the result is always valid (Metalitalia) Our multi-instrumentalist hits the mark once again proposing a work which is definitely Gothic in the soul but also full of very gloomy and dark reminiscences sometimes to exert a strong introspection of the self. And it is this pleasant alternation of styles very well-dosed once again to characterize the final product of our favourite that offers us it is true not a real new album but still a couple of covers and a very well-aimed re-edited version of an already heard song without affecting the value of the disc. Martyr s desire in releasing this still valid CD while is mainly concentrated on giving himself to the audience in his less aggressive version so full of intimacy and spirituality but at the same time very melancholic and almost decadent even in the lyrics proposed. We can see this starting from A Lesson In Mur.
